They won't, but do you really think a HC would read your comment not demand a huge buyout? Better coaches won't come here and coaches of Fu's ability will demand compensation for doing all of the heavy lifting. And I'll add one more thing. Fuente did not work here for many reasons, but when someone fails with a 43-31 record, it really says something about the fan base when they are talking about 'fell off a cliff' and how terrible things are. The lack of perspective makes the VT HC job one that is overly challenging and thankless. No money and no support have to be made up with large buyouts. Whoever the next HC is will reflect the reality that VT is not a desirable job for real coaching talent. It is an opportunity for someone who doesn't have the ability/profile to land something better.
